Rex's owners had very young children and found that they could not give Rex what he requires. He got on well with the kids but needed training and other interesting things to do as he is a smart active dog. Due to the kids being so young they had no time to spend on educating Rex so found it hard to take him with them when going on outings. Since being at Happy Paws Haven his behaviour has improved immensely, he is no longer out of control. Like all kids, dogs need rules and boundaries too! they are not allowed to jump up, they need to sit nicely to be stroked and have attention paid to them. in other words we teach them some manners and we hope his new parents will ensure this continues, like all children, canine or human, he will test you to find out. He loves doing our challenge course and the mental stimulation that brings. he loves interesting walks to different places, he is an active young man who may get bored so would probably be happier at least with one other dog. He likes to play and would probably become good at any dog sport that will physically and mentally stimulate him such as agility, scent work or something similar.
