About Dameka Kelpie Cross Dog
Dameka is a cross between a Kelpie and a small breed of some sort. She came to us very pregnant last October so we enabled her to have her pups here. Only two of her pups are left, Dina and Dane.
This little dog has a lovely temperament and needs to be a companion dog to someone who is home all the time or can take her with them where ever they go. She is happy to go into a crate or enclosure if you go out as long as it is not all day. She is well socialised with humans and other animals, she is really a great dog!
We discovered her story in January 2012. Apparently her master committed suicide in September or October last year. Dameka went to his sisters place to live but did not stay long as she went searching for her owner. His sister found out that we had Dameka and her pups at the beginning of this year as we had advertised her and came and got Dameka to take home. Well Dameka did not settle there and went looking for us or her owner and ended up in the Grafton Pound. We got a carer to get her back and she has been with us ever since.
She is a very loyal loving companion and really needs to be with her special someone as a constant best mate and friend. She loves going to places with you, travels well in a car. With cirl up down your bed at your feet at night keeping you both warm. She is house trained and comes when called! If you spend long periods away from home with out taking her with you then she is not the dog for you.
